If you're a talented, organised, creatively cool crafting kitten then
get in touch! Craft Guerrilla are on the look out for a team leader to front
the Edinburgh craft army!
Ideally the team will consist of a minimum of 3 people (though that is subject to skills so we'll consider all applicants!) with extensive knowledge and experience in a variety of art & craft disciplines.
You'd
also need to love crafts of all types and be willing to learn new skills too, and of course we wouldn't expect you to be a master of all crafts but that you'll come to this project with an open mind and enthusiastic heart.
If you love organising events then you might be the perfect fit for our collective... part of the Craft Guerrilla ethos is to get people excited about craft so you'll have to be someone who likes to make things happen and get everyone talking about your army and the collective as a whole.
We're not talking world domination but we really want to continue to keep our collective synonymous with quality modern craft and the delivery of quality events be they workshops or an impromptu Crafting Flash-Mob!
Our events are legendary and we hope that you too can host your own craft workshops and designer maker markets as well as social events for fellow creatives... though of course we are more than happy for you to cherry pick what you feel comfortable with providing initially and hopefully with time you'll want to do more -even add your own ideas!- and be part of our army and become an important linchpin which will make Craft Guerrilla even more brilliant!
We need you to be a "do-er" with a healthy
interest in event organisation, social media, blogging, running workshop and bookings and upholding and
following the Craft Guerrilla ethos and philosophy.
These are just a few of the things we are looking for and we're sure you'll have so much more to give so... get in touch and tell us why you would be the right person to "man" the Edinburgh army!
To
apply please send us a brief history of what you do (or a creative CV,
including a website/blog that showcases your work) and tell us how you
and your skills could make Edinburgh Craft Guerrilla a huge success!
If you love what we do and want to help us spread the
word get in touch...

Make your own wedding rings!
Imagine helping to make your own wedding ring! We can discuss the design and material of your wedding ring, I will prepare the rings up to a point, then you can come to my flat in Edinburgh to solder them. I will finish them off for you ready for your wedding.
Other couples who have soldered their wedding rings have said how special it was to be involved in such a symbolic part of their wedding.

Happy Christmas and News night!
How did it get to December - eeek?! We had a great DIY evening on 25th November making hessian gingerbread men, cranberry hearts and jewellery to wow people at Christmas parties! Thanks for coming along. We won't be holding another DIY evening this year but will put details of the first evening of 2010 up on the blog in the new year.
Newsnight came to film us in October as part of their Make do and Mend section, here is the link to the piece which was on tele last night http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00p92n6/Newsnight_03_12_2009/ - Emma did really well in the interview - I owe her one big time for doing that!
Have a Happy Christmas everyone and thanks for your support this year.

September Craft D.I.Y Evening - 30th September
The months seem to be disappearing fast - I can't believe it is September already! We have got some lovely things for next Wednesday including rose heart decorations (they are really really pretty) and lavender cushions (very relaxing) - both are straightforward to make but look so effective and you get that satisfied feeling when you look at the end result! We will also have some pearl ribbon necklaces which Emma and I have been wearing and have had lots of complements about. Other jewellery includes the bauble necklaces and frayed necklaces. We are really looking forward to it and hope to see you at Boda Bar from 7pm.
